Self-compassion is treating yourself with kindness, recognizing mistakes and suffering as part of being human, and being mindful of emotions.

Self-compassion reduces anxiety, depression, and stress, boosts creativity, optimism, and relationships. You can practise self-compassion by paying attention to your inner dialogue, accepting emotions, and treating yourself as you would a friend.
