Feeling nervous is common, especially in performance or social situations. It’s a natural reaction to important events.

A moderate amount of nervousness helps you focus and prepare, enhancing your performance. It is useful to recognize your own nervousness: learn where and how you feel nervous, and use this awareness to manage and calm yourself.

Feeling nervous doesn’t mean you’re performing badly. Many skilled performers experience nerves before or during their performance.
